Joining the festive mood of the Reading Month with many of the publication industry’s anniversaries, Thai Ha Books is holding the series “More than Happiness” countrywide in April 2023.

This April welcomes a number of special events, including: International Children’s Book Day (April 2^nd), Viet Nam Book Day (April 21^st), World Book and Copyright Day (April 23^rd). This is a time to honor books’ value, to express our appreciation to readers and people in the industry of publication, printing and distribution, and to promote reading culture in the community.

Celebrating Reading Month, Thai Ha Books lists out current and coming events this April:

1. Giveaway of 220 books “Pháp môn hạnh phúc – tinh thần”

This is one of the Viet Nam Reading Promotion project’s programs, in which monthly book deliveries serve to spread reading culture across the country. You can get a copy of “Pháp môn hạnh phúc – tinh thần” HERE.

2. Nationwide book festival series

• From April 5^th to 7^th 2023, Thai Ha Books, along with Alphabooks and Bach Viet publishing houses, collaborates with Thuongmai University to organize 2023 Books and Reading Culture Festival with the theme “Read the right way”. This is the opening program for the 2023 Book Festival series at universities in Hanoi.

• From April 12^th to 16^th 2023, Thai Ha Books collaborates with Dinh Ti Books to organize April Book Festival – Inspiration for Reading at Vietnamese Women’s Museum, 36 Ly Thuong Kiet Street, Hang Bai Ward, Hoan Kiem District. 

The Book Festival will offer a variety of book genres: parents’ books, children’s books, books on psychology, healing, economics, light novels… and a plenty of other promotions and gifts. Moreover, there will be also a range of other activities, such as free tarot reading, Touch to choose – Play to win rewards, Check-in for books…

• From April 19^th to 23^rd 2023, Thai Ha Books joins the activities celebrating 2023 Viet Nam Book Day at Ho Chi Minh City’s (HCMC) Book Street.
• From April 20^th to 24^th 2023, Thai Ha Books joins the celebration of 2023 Viet Nam Book Day in Phu Yen Province.
• From April 21^st to 25^th 2023, Thai Ha Books takes part in Viet Nam Book Day at Temple of Literature (Thua Thien Hue Historical Museum), Thua Thien Hue.

3. Book launch event of “Câu chuyện nơ hồng”

The launching event of the book “Câu chuyện nơ hồng” takes place on April 15^th 2023 at Vietnamese Women’s Museum, 36 Ly Thuong Kiet Street, Hang Bai Ward, Hoan Kiem District, jointly organized by Thai Ha Books and Ngày mai tươi sáng Foundation under SeABank’s sponsorship.

The book is the story about hearts yearning for and filled with love. You will meet the warriors braving the hardships of breast cancers, listen to their stories upon the detection of the disease, how they adapted and went on leading a meaningful life.

4. Book launch event of “Làm ba mẹ bắt đầu từ đâu” and “Tớ là học sinh tiểu học”

On April 16^th 2023, the book launch event of “Làm ba mẹ bắt đầu từ đâu” and “Tớ là học sinh tiểu học” is held at Da Nang Children’s Cultural Palace, 2A, Phan Dang Luu Street, Bac Tuong dai 2/9 Park Zone, Da Nang. Readers will meet and interact with authors Nguyen Ngoc Ai Quynh and Pham Bao Khang to share their concerns in children upbringing and how to become little authors with their own books.

5. White Cane ATM No. 7

On April 18^th 2023, Thai Ha Books gives canes to the Blind Association, District 12, HCMC. This is a part of the community service project White Cane ATM initiated and implemented by Thai Ha Books.

6. The Reading Books Together event series

Reading Books Together pulls people closer for reading, sharing and putting lessons learned into practice. Every month there is a different book topic to discuss.

On April 19^th 2023, Reading Books Together episode 101 comes with the book “Outwitting the Devil: The Secret to Freedom and Success” by Napoleon Hill, which brings you analysis and viewpoints for understanding yourself and overcoming fears inside.

7. The opening of the Thai Ha Books Building, HCMC branch

It is proud that the opening of Thai Ha Books building in Ha Noi is followed by that in HCMC, which is about to enter into operation. The opening ceremony of Thai Ha Books building in HCMC takes place on April 22^nd 2023, with the presence of guests and staff from across the country.

8. Viet Nam Reading Promotion – More than Happiness

On April 22^nd 2023, the program Viet Nam Reading Promotion – More than Happiness is held at the Thai Ha Books building, HCMC.

The event includes other activities, such as “Founding and Development of Thai Ha Books” photographic exhibition; the opening of the Book and Reading Culture Museum – where rare and valuable antique books go on display; enjoying calligraphic exhibition; the launching of FREE BOOK ATM in HCMC.

This is also the occasion to CONNECT the members of Thai Ha Books nationwide with the trip to Mui Ne coast in Binh Thuan.
