A Beautiful Dream Has Come True!

What an incredible feeling of happiness, my dear friends!

For many years, this teacher of yours, #BooksMan, has cherished a beautiful dream: to establish a HANOI BOOK COLLECTION, bringing together the richest and most comprehensive selection of books about Hanoi – its history, culture, people, historical figures, heritage sites, ancient streets, cuisine, local specialties, and the unique charm of Vietnam’s thousand-year-old capital.

I have presented this vision to Hanoi’s city leaders on numerous occasions.

One question has always been on my mind: Why is it that Hanoi, with more than a thousand years of history and countless priceless cultural treasures, has yet to have a truly comprehensive book collection worthy of its extraordinary heritage – a place where anyone wishing to discover Hanoi can find everything they seek?

And now, Hanoi and Cua Nam Ward have officially launched a wonderful HANOI BOOK COLLECTION!

The teacher, #BooksMan, warmly invites writers, researchers, historians, artists, and everyone who loves Hanoi to contribute their knowledge, creativity, and passion by writing books about our beloved capital.

Together with Thai Ha Books, I am delighted to accompany these authors in editing, publishing, and bringing their works to readers throughout Vietnam and around the world.

The dream of yesterday has finally become a reality! And the dream we carry forward today will surely flourish!

At Hanoi Book Street (19/12 Street), the Hanoi Book Collection – Community Reading Room was officially inaugurated through the joint efforts of the Cua Nam Ward authorities, publishing houses, authors, and book lovers.

What a wonderful moment for our capital!

More than happiness – it is a dream come true!

Over 1,000 books have already been gathered, with 250 titles displayed on a rotating basis for the community to explore and enjoy. Books such as Chu Du Hà Nội (Exploring Hanoi), Dấu Vân Tay Của Phố (Fingerprints of the Streets), and Triệu Dấu Chân Qua Những Cửa Ô (A Million Footsteps Through the Ancient City Gates) are helping tell the beautiful and fascinating stories of our beloved capital.

My greatest hope is that the Hanoi Book Collection will continue to grow and eventually become a true INTELLECTUAL HERITAGE OF VIETNAM – an essential cultural destination for Hanoians, visitors, and friends from every corner of the world.

For every book about Hanoi does more than preserve memories. It safeguards the very soul and spirit of this extraordinary city.

Every page becomes a bridge between the past and the present, connecting generations and sharing the richness of Vietnamese culture with the world.

If you love Hanoi, read about Hanoi. The more you understand Hanoi, the more deeply you will fall in love with it.

My heartfelt gratitude goes to everyone whose dedication, generosity, and love have helped transform an idea into reality.
