April is special for Thai Ha Books, since it includes a number of events, such as Viet Nam Book Day (April 21^st), World Book and Copyright Day (April 23^rd) and, most special of all, the opening of Thai Ha Books building, Ho Chi Minh City branch in District 12 on April 22^nd. With the view of extending the network within the District 12 community, which hosts the seat of Thai Ha Books’ headquarter, we decided to give 100 white canes to District 12 Blind Association on April 17^th 2023, on the 54^th anniversary of Viet Nam Blind Association. 

Throughout its fifty-four-year history, Viet Nam Blind Association has played an important role in supporting the blind in terms of shelters, employment and other social welfare, with the number of beneficiaries adding up to more than 2 million. This is a not inconsiderable figure, which implies that the responsibility for supporting the blind should not be shouldered only by the authority but also by the whole society. In pursuit of the spread of values to the community, not only Reading Culture but also other meaningful deeds, Thai Ha Books commits to uphold the delivery of White Cane ATM to the blind countrywide.
