What’s New at Bangkok International Book Fair 2026?
Scheduled to take place from March 26 to April 6, 2026, at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC), the Bangkok International Book Fair 2026 (BKKIBF 2026) returns under the theme “Read The Legend,” signaling a significant transformation in the regional publishing landscape.

One of the most notable highlights this year is the restructuring of the exhibition into seven major thematic zones, ranging from general books, fiction, children’s and educational titles, and antiquarian books to international publishing. Particularly striking are two newly curated creative spaces: Wonder Y, dedicated to the rapidly growing Boys’ Love segment in Thailand, and Book Wonderland, a vibrant hub for young adult (YA) literature and comics. This segmentation reflects the increasing specialization and diversification of contemporary publishing markets.
Running in parallel with the exhibition is the Bangkok Rights Fair 2026, widely regarded as the core platform for international rights trading. With the participation of over 135 companies and 63 buyers from 14 countries, this year’s Rights Fair underscores the accelerating growth of global licensing and translation markets, positioning Bangkok as a key rights hub in Southeast Asia.
Beyond rights trading, the fair will also host a wide range of cultural and professional programs, including live performances, author meet-and-greets, and in-depth seminars. These activities contribute to a holistic experience where knowledge, creativity, and cultural exchange converge.
Thai Ha Books Participates with two delegations

As in previous years, Thai Ha Books continues its presence at the Bangkok International Book Fair. Notably, 2026 marks the first time the company is represented by two official delegations, reflecting a more strategic and comprehensive approach to international engagement.
The first delegation joins the Fellowship Program at the Rights Fair, where participants engage in professional training, networking, and one-on-one rights negotiations with international partners. This platform offers valuable opportunities to both acquire high-quality foreign titles and introduce Vietnamese publications to the global market.

Meanwhile, Dr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Chairman and CEO of Thai Ha Books, has been invited as an official guest speaker at the fair. In his session, he will share insights into the development of Thai Ha Books as a distinctive Vietnamese publishing brand, driven by a mission to disseminate knowledge and cultural values internationally.
The company’s simultaneous presence in both rights trading activities and thought leadership platforms reflects a clear evolution—not only for Thai Ha Books but also for Vietnam’s publishing sector as a whole: from participation to contribution, and from learning to dialogue.
Notably, Thai Ha Books’ participation in BKKIBF 2026 also aligns with the upcoming 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Thailand (1976–2026). This milestone adds further significance to the company’s presence at the fair, highlighting the role of publishing and cultural exchange in strengthening bilateral ties. Through rights trading, content collaboration, and intellectual dialogue, Thai Ha Books contributes to deepening mutual understanding and fostering sustainable cooperation between the two countries in the years ahead.
